FEATURES
BrightQ™ provides users of the UNIX and Linux operating systems with a printing solution that is as intuitive and advanced as those found in Windows and Macintosh environments. The BrightQ software suite is easy to install, use and maintain and more importantly gives UNIX and Linux users complete access to the imageRUNNER finishing features

BrightQ comes with Codehost's BrightInstall, a graphical installation wizard, making this package simple to use right out of the box. The BrightQ configuration tool allows users to easily add and configure printers and print queues, replacing the need for complex command line scripts. The Print Job Manager gives users access to a device's output features, affording them the ability to append a print job at the point of print.

Additionally, BrightQ provides a unified printing interface across all versions of UNIX and distributions of Linux, which means that BrightQ will look and function the same way, regardless of the operating environment. In an environment where no standards have been established, BrightQ assures that all commonly used print spoolers, languages, protocols and file types are supported.

Easy Installation - Installation is simple with BrightInstall, Codehost's software installation wizard for UNIX and Linux.

Graphical Interface - BrightQ is a graphically rich printing solution that makes tasks such as configuring Canon devices a simple point and click process..

Access to Finishing Options - By interfacing with the Canon device's PPD, BrightQ gives users access to all available finishing options such as stapling, stitching and punching.

Printer Status and Management - Manage and monitor all available Canon devices on the network. BrightQ allows users to enable, disable, add and remove printers, and set defaults.

Manage and Inspect Job Queues - Monitor jobs as they are sent to the queue; drag and drop print jobs from one queue to another; edit queues.

Print File - BrightQ gives users the ability to print a file without having the file's application open. For instance, from the configuration tool, BrightQ allows users to print PDF, images and text files. .

No Additional Hardware - There are a handful of costly hardware-based solutions out there that provide basic UNIX and Linux connectivity. BrightQ is a client-based software solution that relieves the acquisition and maintenance costs of such products.

Unified Printing Interface - BrightQ looks and functions the same way across all versions of UNIX and Linux. Support teams, administrative personnel and users don't have to learn different solutions as they move from one environment to the next.
