FEATURES
The I-O 5435dp is a LAN print server that easily attaches a Canon imageRUNNER 2200/2800/3300/330/400/5000/550/6000/600/60 device to an IBM AS/400 or mainframe. In addition to offering network connectivity and full print functionality, the 5435dp is customized to support Canon's value-added finishing features to SCS and IDPS print jobs.

The 5755dp is an Ethernet in/ Ethernet out solution that supports printing speeds of 100 + ppm. The 5755dp customization delivers the paper handling and finishing capabilities for the imageRUNNER 2220N/2220i/3320N/3320i/5020/5020i/6020/6020i/7200/8500/85/105 in addition to printing at rated speed.

The I-O Configuration Utility's user friendly GUI with pull down menus gives the end user a choice of finishing options. A user may select options on a job-by-job basis. This feature empowers users to print more effectively and efficiently which translates to bottom line savings. The IS Manager is able to maintain control of printing by determining which users have access to the I-O Configuration Utility.

The I-O Configuration Utility allows users to address specific paper handling requirements by assigning trays and paper sizes to a job. The input tray on the IBM host can be mapped to the physical tray available on the imageRUNNER.

The I-O IBM Host to Net Gateway Solution delivers access to the robust finishing options of the imageRUNNER 2220N/2220i/3320N/3320i/5020/5020i/6020/6020i/7200/8500/85/105. In addition to providing clear selections, all finishing selections are depicted in the page icon on the left of the screen shot, ensuring users get the output they expect.

The I-O Configuration Utility maintains the unique functionality of options the imageRUNNER device offers, such as mailbox functions. In addition to directing documents to a specific mailbox, a user may also benefit from proof copy and the forms storage option that are now available not only when printing PCL/PS, but also IDPS.

This allows a user to map host output bins to physical output bins available on the printer. The printer's bins are identified by a numeric value associated with a PCL command for the target output bin.

Page Setup gives users the ability to compress text. This is a benefit when users who are migrating from printing on standard "green bar" or line printer paper to letter-size paper.

Troubleshooting is simple with the I-O Configuration Utility. A data capture file can be sent directly to I-O Corporation where the job can be run in an IBM environment with an imageRUNNER and the problem can be diagnosed.
