  Operating at 80 pages-per-minute, the imageRUNNER 8070 is equipped with a 20GB Hard Disk Drive and 512MB RAM, providing users with exceptional productivity and reliability

   With a scanning resolution of 600 x 600 dpi, enhanced copy resolution of 1200 x 600 dpi, and enhanced print resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi, the imageRUNNER 8070 delivers superior quality for the most faithful reproduction of text and images.

   Incorporating Canon's MEAP™ (Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform) architecture, the imageRUNNER 8070 can be customized to meet unique business needs. Customized applications can run from the imageRUNNER 8070 control panel, streamlining document workflows.

  The color user interface panel, including a new Express Copy screen, and intuitively designed device drivers provide user-friendly operation for both walk-up and desktop environments.

  With its standard Duplexing Automatic Document Feeder (DADF), the imageRUNNER 8070 makes quick work of multi-paged, double-sided and mixed-size originals. It can handle up to 100 originals and can accept paper weights from 10lb. to 32lb. Bond. The DADF is equipped with a Semi Automatic Document Feeder (SADF), which is ideal for making copies of heavy or light-weight originals that should not be subject to bending.

* The imageRUNNER 8070 device's extensive finishing capabilitites are designed to handle the most common high-volume copying and printing applications, such as booklets, training manuals, etc. Three optional finishers are available, all of which deliver single and multiposition stapling. Support for saddle-stitching, Z-folding, booklet trimming, 2- or 3-hole punching and post-process document insertion is also available.

   The imageRUNNER 8070 provides users with unmatched flexibility with respect to paper capacity, paper stocks, and drawer selection. Two 1,500-sheet paper trays and two 550-sheet user adjustable cassettes capable of handling from statement-sized paper up to 11" x 17" come standard. Additionally, a 50-sheet Stack Bypass brings the standard paper capacity to 4,150 sheets. An optional 3,500-sheet user-adjustable paper deck designed to accommodate 11" x 17", Legal, Letter or Letter-R-sized paper can be added to the device. All paper sources support paper weights from 17lb. Bond to 110lb. Index.

   The Mail Box functions of the imageRUNNER 8070 serve as a centralized system for information-sharing, on-site document storage and print-on-demand applications.

   With its Universal Send™ technology, the imageRUNNER 8070 allows users to scan directly into the device for distribution to multiple destinations. Advanced Send options such as searchable PDF (OCR) and Encrypted PDF can be added for an even more sophisticated solution.
